B.  Advertising

Newsletter
The NHMA newsletter is published monthly. It is compiled by the Communications Team and the President & CEO and is disseminated electronically to an audience of approximately 55,000; comprised of NHMA members, board members, NHMA Leadership Fellows, public health and health industry officials, and other affiliated contacts. Appropriate advertisements include job postings, event announcements, etc. of interest to physicians, health professionals and health care leaders.   To view online versions of newsletters posted to our website, visit our newsletter page.

Ad Submission Deadline
Please submit your ad no later than the first week of each month; the newsletter is edited and disseminated by the second week of the month.  Please send your ad, via email, as a Microsoft Word document or JPEG, along with the ad request form to [email protected].

C.  Congressional Health Policy Briefings: $10,000 per briefing for one speaker

NHMA convenes at least two Hispanic Health Policy Briefings on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. annually and invites health experts to discuss healthcare policies and programs that impact the health of Latinos for Congressional staff and national advocates. In February 2021, NHMA convened its Congressional Briefing with Congressman Raul Ruiz on COVID-19 and Chronic Disease, and Health Policy Recommendations to Improve Access, Prevention and Medical Education. Partner was Amgen. 

Leadership Summit: $50,000 per event with planning input, logo displayed on signage, website, & promotional materials

The NHMA Summits are a one day meeting in a major city with physicians, healthcare experts, public and private sector leaders focused on strategies and lessons learned on a health and wellness issue that can become part of policy at the Federal and State levels. NHMA provides the following Education Activities:

  • Nominations for public and private sector Health Advisory Committees, Boards and Commissions;
  • NHMA Physician Speakers Bureau for National and Regional Conferences, Grand Rounds and for Media; 
  • NHMA Medical School Liaison Program - recruitment and cultural competence activities for leaders, faculty, GME and students;
  • NHMA Leadership Fellowship for physicians - one year executive leadership program;
  • Hispanic Leadership Development Fellowship for graduates <2 years of graduate schools - one year position at US Department of Health and Human Services with stipend, housing, mentoring, training;
  • Writing and Editing of Health Policy White Papers;
  • Participation in health communications campaigns - Media, Social Media;
  • Letters of Support for Grants related to the improvement of Hispanic health.

F.  Internship Positions at NHMA:

Undergraduate and Graduate Student Internships – NHMA provides an outstanding opportunity to undergraduate and graduate students to learn about healthcare, disease prevention, as well as national advocacy and policy analysis and nonprofit project management. NHMA focuses on improving the health of Hispanic populations and works closely with its members and partners – physicians, health professionals, residents, medical students as well as the Federal government, Congress, and private sector partners who all impact health care for our communities. Internships are paid at a rate of $16.50/hour.
