NHMA Council of Residents

- Provide professional development training to help COR members to succeed in academia, health policy, and business.
- Provide COR members with leadership opportunities to help ensure health equity for Hispanics and other underserved populations.
- Develop communication pathways for recruitment of COR members, building mentorship pipelines, and dissemination of information.
- Contribute to the success of the NHMA national conference and regional networking events.
Note the NHMA COR is also encouraged to serve as mentors to the NHHF Diverse Scholars, NHMA College Health Scholars, and Liaisons for NHMA Medical School Liaison Program.
Each year the section recruits interested residents and fellows into leadership positions at the NHMA Board of Directors Committees and the NHMA Chapter Steering Committees. If interested, please check the box on the NHMA Membership registration or email [email protected].
