The NHMA Leadership Fellowship is an executive training program that started in 1999 and has supported the careers of over 100 Hispanic physicians who are working in the U.S Department of Health and Human Services, State, and City Health Commissioner positions, and academic leaders in medical schools, chief medical officers in federal clinics and private practice.

..
The purpose of the NHMA Leadership Fellowship is to assist in the development of leadership potential among physician members of the National Hispanic Medical Association, in order to increase the number of skilled Hispanic physicians who may be eligible for entry to the pool of applicants for policy making and executive positions within state and federal government and the private sector at decision-making levels. The ultimate outcome is to improve the quality of health of all Americans.
.
As part of this fellowship, you will have the opportunity to serve in a national campaign sponsored by the CDC as an individual Vaccinate For All Champion. This Fellowship is sponsored by the CDC to equip physicians with the tools needed to become impactful leaders and physician advocates who can bring meaningful change within the Hispanic community on national and local levels.
