Rand is characterized by its independence, objectivity, and nonpartisanship as well as its empirical foundation, high quality, scientific rigor, and interdisciplinary approach to improving policymaking on the major issues of the day. Robert Wood Johnson Foundation supports training, education, research (excluding biomedical research), projects that demonstrate the effective delivery of health care services, and additionally on health care systems and the conditions that promote better health.
