Health Care Reform Implementation for Hispanic Communities

Join Hispanic physicians, residents, medical students, nurses, dentists, policymakers, and healthcare industry representatives at our annual conference. This year, NHMA celebrates its 15th Conference with partners from the Federal and State governments and the private sector. This unique conference brings together experts from across the nation to share their multi-disciplinary experiences in improving health care delivery for Hispanic populations.  CME accreditation will be provided.

  • Share and discuss innovative healthcare policies and programs for medical practices, clinics, community hospitals, and academic health centers that can become more efficient at providing prevention and treatment services to Hispanic youth, adults and elderly
  • Disseminate evidence-based and payment reform  programs such as medical homes and accountable organizations  that show promise of eliminating health disparities
  • Adopt new treatment modalities and strategies to educate Hispanic patients with diabetes, cancer, HIV/AIDs, obesity, cardiovascular disease, strokes and hypertension, asthma, Alzheimer’s disease, depression and renal disease in order to decrease morbidity and mortality in their medical practices or in their organization.
  • Analyze cultural competence accreditation and quality care, literacy, and language services programs.
  • Discuss  healthy aging programs and interventions for Hispanic communities in medical practices and clinics
